Work in Progress – AEDM Nov. 5
Posted in Art, General on 11/05/2009 05:36 pm by SusanWow. What a daunting challenge I have taken on with Art Every Day Month! Only my second day and I’m wondering how to handle the rest of the month, what with a trip to Colorado and Thanksgiving and visits from out-of-town relatives.
But I did have something in the works. It’s still in the works, but I’ll post it for today’s creation anyway. It’s a canvas with images from vintage fruit crate labels and turn-of-the-century (the last century) sheet music.
The Rhythm of Life (working title.) Just realized that yesterday’s was themed around music also. I guess the sheet music is inspiring me. I realize this is impossible to see so the words are impossible to read. But it’ll have to do until the real thing comes along.
For the next week, be expecting photographs from Colorado.

Susan–I love it! Your collage work is inspiring. It seems like my thoughts and feelings are organized into collage naturally, but I haven’t spent much time trying to create them through art. This AEDM I am going to give it a shot! (I’m doing the challenge too!)

You’re doing great, Susan! I think one way to do this while traveling, is to keep a sketchbook, that you can do small images in. It’s a great way to keep going with the process without stressing yourself out!

Leah, that’s a great idea – except I can’t draw or paint at all! That’s why I do photography and collage. It’s really tragic that I can’t draw b/c my dad is one of the foremost watercolorists around, and my mom can even draw well. I got left out.
